a foundation for building a strong and respected character. In turn,
such a character will produce peace, self appreciation and true
friendships.

or importance. Learning how to respect yourself enough
to keep from making poor or destructive decisions leads to an increase
in self appreciation and confidence. Learning how to respect others,
their opinions, requests, differences and experiences is a critical
concept a person can learn in order to build productive and lasting
relationships.

A set
or morals, principles or obligations by which one conducts themselves
in society. Learning how to establish and embrace a value
system will make or break a person’s life in terms of success
and happiness. The principles of right and wrong exist. Learning
to distinguish true principles of right and wrong in modern society
requires commitment to selflessness and building a strong character.

A process
by which information is exchanged between individuals through a
common system of symbols, signs or behaviors. Learning
how to say what you mean and mean what you say is very important.
Listening to the other person is even more important than your own
message. Good communications is a skill that can be learned and
when mastered provides a tremendous tool for opening potential for
self and others.

A work
performed for the benefit or welfare of others without expectation
of reward or payment. Learning how and why to serve others
over self is a key principle of building a strong character. Once
understood and practiced, service opens wide the doors to self appreciation
along with a successful and respected life.
